The 5 Minute Meditation.

 

Hello there! So. I’ve been getting like a whole heap of questions behind the scenes about how to meditate. Mostly because I talk about meditation a great deal, not only in my videos, but just in general in my life. So. I figured I’d go on ahead and do the whole “explain what meditation is” thing and then guide you step by step through a very brief 5 minute meditation that anyone can start and fit into even the most hectic of days.

 

These last few days have been riddled with the kind of violence we all would hope would be reserved completely for movies and yet, when I look at the war and violence on the planet, I see folk who haven’t gotten in firm touch with their fundamental nature–which is spirit. I heard a quote that I think is poignant for this topic: “Prayer is how you ask for something. Meditation is how you hear the answer.”  So.  If you ever never thought mediation is for you or if you ever thought you might want to try, but weren’t sure how to even bother to start, this vid is for you. I should also add here that meditation is not religious. It is about getting in touch with your inner quiet. It’s about deep breathing and inner peace. It’s about shedding anger and victimization. It’s about ruling yourself and balancing your EVERYTHING.

 

I detail all of this a great deal in this video AND guide you through the steps of an effective 5 minute meditation. There are a ton of ways to meditate and this is just one very basic and simple way to get started. I’ll get a lil more jiggy with it in future vids.

I should also add that meditation has been practiced all over the world for thousands of years. I am a firm advocate for meditation as a daily practice for LOADS of reasons, but its most effective attribute, to me, is that it brings about vibrant perspective about life that a lot of us walking the planet haven’t been acquainted with yet.
