Before and Before and Before…

You will most likely think I’m NUTS for posting this. Even nuttier for telling this brief but compelling introduction to the excerpt that follows. The author of said excerpt (of a much longer story) is an enigma. I’ve known this person for some time, although we’ve never actually met face to face. I’ve never seen her picture or talked to her over the phone. We’ve “talked” over the years by way of written correspondence. I don’t initiate contact with her, mind you. She simply calls on me when she’s ready to share something. The story she tells is a doozy. I’ll tell you this, it’s a big part of what has transformed my own life. So now you know. I’ve had help.

The only thing I know about Emae is that she is very wise. She’s spiritual beyond belief. A true presence. I have no idea how old she is–although, I don’t know–Maybe it’s not important. The reason she tells this story at all? Why am I involved? I don’t rightly know. I just know that true or false– fact or fiction– what I’ve read is beyond compelling. It begs questions, answers others and begs some more questions after that. Why now? Time. According to Emae, we haven’t much left and it’s her job to share what she knows before the whatever that comes next. I’m just saying, only the open minded need dawdle here.

According to Emae:

“The story I share with you will come in three parts. The first is to give your eyes its actual sight to witness what is around you presently. The truth of who you are and how you came to be. The truth about the fables told each other since the beginning. The truth of how the evolution will proceed.

This story is told through young Kai. Born of light and darkness—life and death. She is the parable of your own life. She is living, breathing allegory. A true dichotomy. Scared, but resourceful. Closed to everything and yet, a portal of all life. Beaten, battered, broken, and forgotten, Kai shares your dream and comes to learn the truth of the ALL. We meet Kai in Book 1: Among Us.”

What follows is only an excerpt of a book I’m helping to release in the fall. But boy is it goooooood! You want your ENTIRE world rocked? The Stellar Trilogy will do it. Book 1, Among Us is only the beginning. I’ll post other excerpts in the future (if and when I can) up until the book release. Good luck… -e-

The Stellar Trilogy: Book 1, Among Us

Prologue

“Every man and woman is a star.” ~Aleister Crowley

The wood panels of the old church floor creaked. With every step the old priest took, his bones and the floor moaned and cracked in one accord. When he reached the end of the long corridor, instead of opening the door to his plain, old office, he let himself lean on his old walking stick.

The stick was shaped like a tree branch twisted into lean, painfully beautiful knots. It was much older than he. It had seen many more things than he had. The ornate carvings on it held secrets that he would never know, mysteries of the universe not meant to be uncovered just yet. Not by him anyway. He knew that the time for revelation was coming. He felt it as he stood in the cold, quiet, long forgotten church.

He stood, barely breathing, anticipation mounting for his visitor to arrive. He didn’t have long to wait. He felt Tanzin’s presence within the moment.

“It’s been a long time my friend.” The old man’s voice was almost a whisper.

“It has. You look…old, colleague. The years you’ve been here are beginning to show. Soon, you’ll be able to hang up those old bones and transition like the rest of us.” Tanzin sounded matter of fact, but they both knew his statement was an attempt at humor.

“Yes, yes, old friend. I’ve been here a long time. And yet, I’ve always enjoyed my work here–just this one last thing to do. I’ve waited so long for this time to come. Of course, dear one, I don’t have an easy job like you.” The old priest chuckled and then cleared his throat.  “I’ll assume things are going as planned.”

“You assume correctly. The child will arrive within days, if not sooner.” Tanzin reported.

“That is good news. And her surrogates have been chosen as well?”

“They have. One a Slide and the other a Mute. A perfect combination for our star to rise, I’m sure you’ll agree.”

“Ah yes. And The Third? The Third is most important of all, as you know. He or she will set the stage for what must be, when she is ready.”

“Of course, Priest. No detail has been left to chance. We’ve all waited too long to do things less than to the letter of what has been written.”

The old priest sighed knowingly. His voice crackled like embers in an old fire. “Soon this old, forgotten church will bustle with activity again.”

“Yes, it will. Forget not old friend that there are some things that will manifest that we can’t know or prepare for. The child may not do all that she is capable or she may do much more. Remember who she is.” Tanzin’s words were somber.

The old priest chuckled. “No child does as his parents expect. But they always do as they are designed to do. This child will do much more than that. This child will change what was designed and what is written.”

“You always were a wise soul, Priest. I can think of no other still on Earth worthy of the job you face. I bid you blessings in your journey and look forward to having you with us soon.”

“Yes, Tanzin. Blessed journey to you as well.”

Before the priest could re-adjust himself on his walking stick, his visitor was gone. He was moved to tears of joy. Soon, he thought, the world will know the truth.
